2.5D, 3D and curved glass.
What should you check?
A product name alone cannot tell you how the glass was made, how strong it is or how well it fits. Start with the cross-section, then verify on the target phone.
Where is the curve?
Flat body, rounded edges
Often described as 2.5D. A rounded upper edge does not mean the screen-facing surface is curved.

Go beyond the process name.
Hot bending
Confirm whether heat and a mould are used, where the forming occurs, and which dimensions and inspection criteria apply.
CNC / “cold carving”
Ask which machining operation the term describes. Confirm the machined area, final thickness and edge quality.
Chemical etching
Distinguish the actual treatment from mechanical machining. Ask where it is applied, how dimensions are controlled and what follows.
Dispensing / edge shaping
Ask whether material is added to form the edge or adhesive is applied during installation. Confirm the material, location and curing method.

Watch the process
Loading the fixture and starting the equipment
An operator places glass pieces on the fixture, closes the equipment and starts it. Ask which surfaces are processed and how thickness and edges are inspected.
Lifting a rack from the tank
Rows of glass pieces rise with the rack and are moved away. Confirm the treatment purpose, conditions and checks for the product you select.
Automatic pickup and transfer
Suction cups transfer pieces to a conveyor, where they pass the rollers toward the next station. Confirm the downstream process and surface-inspection requirements.
Finish with a sample on the exact phone.
Confirm coverage, cut-outs, case clearance, touch and fingerprint operation on the target model. Include the checks you need in the brief.
